Creating a new forum section is a very common question we have and we felt it was important to point out the difference between a forum section and a forum category which is the primary heading to each group of forum sections the bar that collapse.

  1. Login to your admincp (http://www.yourdomain.com/admincp)
  2. Click and expand Forums & Moderators
  3. Click on Add New Forum
  4. Fill in the standard information – Title, Description, Display order, Parent Forum etc..
  5. The most important setting is the one that is the difference between creating a category and creating a forum. Act as Forum, by default this option is set to Yes which will create a new forum section, if you set this option to No you will now be creating a category for which your forum sections can be set under using the Parent Forum Option.
